We take our food seriously here at Playgrounds Surf Camp. Our kitchen staff works around the clock to prepare healthy and delicious meals using the freshest ingredients.
Our head chef has 30 years of culinary experience and believes that every meal she creates is an expression of her love for the way that good food can bring people together. And if you poke your head in the kitchen and tell her how much you loved last night’s dinner, she just may slip you two desserts!
The Playgrounds kitchen staff has been developing the menu over the last five years and is a fusion of local Nicaraguan, Mexican, American and Hawaiian culinary traditions. Wherever possible we use organic locally sourced fruits and vegetables, pasture raised eggs, free range chickens and grass fed beef. All of our seafood is served on the same day it is caught straight from the reef at Playgrounds – as fresh as it gets!
The restaurant and bar located in the upstairs of the main Rancho house is the heart of the resort – the main congregation area where meals are shared and laughter fills the room after a long day in the surf.
